About me: My name is Mike Benonis, and I am a graduate student at Virginia Tech. My field of study includes RF hardware designs, analog communications, and regulatory issues related to radio. I received my bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia’s School of Engineering and Applied Science in 2009.
My amateur radio interests include VHF+ weak signal (2m+), APRS, some contesting, and 20m DX’ing.
